KD49X7000E update via USB

hey all,

 

so my TV (KD49X7000E) no longer connects to the internet for youtube or netflix apps and also wont connect to update which i believe it needs desperately. I have tried both wireless and hardwired and neither work.

I have downloaded an update for USB and transferred it to a flash drive, the TV recognises the drive but not the update file on. I was told i need to make a few folders and sub folders and name them 'update' or something similiar because the TV will search for keywords? but so far everything i have tried wont work.

Any suggestions as to folder names and the amount i need to create or another fix would be appreciated.

The standby mode light on the TV blinks twice and pause and repeats. Not able to turn on the TV. Anyone can advise what to do to rectify this problem?

Hi
I would like to inquire regarding to my TV where in it blinks with a red light for 6times, we don't know what happened. When we turn it on, it open for 5 seconds then turned off and open again for 5 seconds then turned off again and then the red light blink for 6 times 2 twice and then we can't open the TV anymore unless we unplug it again. Hoping for your assistance on this. Thank you

Greetings!



I am really disappointed as a SONY Brand customer, because I have more crush on this brand, so that I was used my most of the product from SONY only like such as mobile, headset, TV, DVD Players & etc, also I have been advised to our family surrounding’s and friends about the SONY is best brand in an quality and other aspects as well. But now my belief not correct with SONY Brand.

I have purchased a 32' colour Sony led tv KLV-32R482B Serial no. 3277273 on three years back from Sathyas Show Room, Porur, now i am facing the vertical lines and distortion on the screen, when I approached the customer care they asked to do the factory settings which I did but the problem still exists. Then an engineer came to inspect the TV. He told me that it was the display panel problem and which needs to be changed and the cost would be around Rs. 13000/- I mean after paying so much price for a brand that claims to be of best quality I need to pay almost 40% of the TV cost within such short span of usage makes me think what do you define as quality.

SONY Product quality was very very poor, no long life, the products and its equipments quality also not good, with in an short duration with less usage, I have been facing issue on my Sony TV.

Also I have been placed the couple of online consumer complaints in this regard. When I placed my complaint I have been notified that most of them placed similar kind of complaints (Vertical Lines / Display Panel issue) only, Even though this issue is happened for all of them including me also. Faced the problem after warranty period completed like after 3 / 4 years only.

May I know the reason for that ...How it's happening exactly once warranty period over...is this your business strategy or you are providing poor quality of products to the your customers.

Hopefully you have been receiving more no.of complaints with similar to this (which display vertical lines issue) on daily basis..

Have you done any root cause on this / have you taken any necessary actions on this issue.


I was looking forward your quick and prompt responses and actions on this ... please do the needful for the same.

Please let me know.. am unhappy and totally disappointed to be a customer of SONY Brand.





I have couple of questions to Corporate ,

Question no: 1

Firstly, have you manufacturing the good quality of products?, If yes, Why I have been facing the vertical lines and distortion on the screen issue on my TV.

I have been faced this issue exactly once the warranty period gets completed, also I have been seen your customers complaints from Consumer complaints portal, most of the members are faced the same issue at the same time (like after three / four years only)?



Which means you (SONY) are manufacturing the most of your products and equipments with poor quality only?


Question no: 3



Continues with last Question, Have you designed your products and equipments can failure after three or four years?



Is this your business strategy?



So that your corporate can get fudge revenue and profits through the spares and services



We are believed that (All of your customers like me) SONY product are too good and we should used the products for long life because of the brand name, Even though the Product price is costlier when compared to other brands.

If not, then Why your products can failure after three / four years?



Hope fully you have get similar kind of complaints from customers end, then


Have you following FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)?



if you done this analysis na, its get resolved... i think you are done... you are manufacturing your products with less quality also it should failure in an short duration's then you are getting continues profits and revenues from your customers through this strategy..





I checked with the Sony authorized service center, they said the only solution is to get the part replaced. I hereby request you to get the tv replaced with another one, as i am not happy with the current solution in getting part replaced and what if the problem occurs again. Please do help in getting the tv replaced or do the appropriate solution and action on this...

i would advise anyone considering purchasing a high end high def smart tv from sony to view all of the complaints concerning their software update! THE CUSTOMER IS IGNORED AND NEGLECTED BY THIS COMPANY! THEY GIVE LIP SERVICE TO A PROBLEM, THEY MAKE THEIR CUSTOMER EXPLAIN THE PROBLEM TO MULTILPLE LEVELS OF EMPLOYEES WHO SIMPLY READ FROM A SCRIPT AND NEVER ATTEMPT TO SOLVE A PROBLEM! THEY ATTEMPT TO BLAME OTHER COMPONENTS OF THE TV EXPERIENCE (CABLE, SATELLITE ETC). THEY OVER PROMISE AND UNDER DELIVER! SHOP OTHER TVS. CONSIDER OTHER BRANDS.

X720E (KD-55X720E) On/Off Power Noise

Just received a 55" X720E and noted when turning on/off the set with either the remote or the power button on the side there is an audible clicking noise. We have 5 other Sony's and not one of them make a sound when turned on or off.

 

Could this potentially be an issue with the internal power switch or is it normal behavior?

Hello, I bought SONY KDL50W800B TV in USA and I have moved to Switzerland. Can you please tell if it will work in Switzerland? Also, in the move I lost the power adapter for the TV, therefore can you please advise on the replacement power adapter for the TV?

My Sony 65X9300D is really dead. It was working fine this morning. When I tried to turn it on this afternoon nothing happened. The Sony white indicator light does not come on and nothing happens. I tried the reset method of unplugging the power cord for 2 minutes but still nothing happened when I tried the remote and also the tv's side power button.. Is there a software reset proceedure by pressing 2 buttons on the side of the tv or what ????

TV Remote Battery Low error message

The error msg ‘TV Remote Battery Low’ pops up every 15 minutes for 10 seconds, even though there are fresh batteries installed. This TV is two weeks old. Tried turning off the Bluetooth, disconnecting the remote completely and pressing every button on the remote twice to unstick any suspect buttons. Also tried to depress the input button for >5 seconds as I saw posted on another thread. Does anyone have a clue how to eliminate this? I don’t even use the remote other than to turn on Netflix.

Connecting laptop to Bravia KDL50W800C via wifi

My "system" worked fine up until a few days ago when it simply stopped connecting. I had enjoyed playing youtube videos by simply bring them up on the laptop and then left clicking on the "play on TV" icon at the lower right corner of the laptop screen. That icon is no longer visable and I am confused by the directions that I have seen on the sony site.

KDL 48W700C Loop Reboot Every One Minute

Hi 

I have a Sony KDL 48w700C LED TV which was working fine till today, from morning it went into a loop reboot after everyone minute

 

I have tried the following but no resolution

 

1. Factory Reset after disconnecting the internet connection

2. Unplug the power for 1 Min and then power it back on.

3.Unplug the power for 3 mins and then power it back on after changing the power strip

 

Is there any solution to this problem please suggest .

 

Hardly get time to go into settings to check anything , currently not connected to internet only DTH connection. TV is in loop reboot even when i play movies from USB drive or simply keep it ON.

 

Request to share a solution if any to try and resolve it before calling a service engg to rectfy it.

I bought a XBR-55X930D with the wireless surround speakers, Sound Bar and Subwoofer in Oct 2016. The TV power will not come on. I've read many of the suggestions on the boards here, and tried various options but they didnt work for me. I'm very dissapointed with the outcomes. There doesnt seem to be an official Sony Service CEnter in Austin. What are my options. I feel given the fact that this is a known defect, Sony needs to fix it right away or send me a replacement. It looks like some people are saying that the warranty is extended - is that true. How can I get my TV fixed without it costing me even more?

 

Any advice?
